The Sussex Academy of Music (SAM), located in Shoreham-by-Sea, offers an unrivalled high standard of music lessons in a huge range of instruments, from the widely played guitar and drums through to the more unusual instruments like the harmonica and even beatboxing. To see if you are happy with the tuition and facilities, we offer your first lesson at SAM for FREE and with no obligations.
Lessons are fun and catered to what you want to learn, and taught by professional, experienced musicians, available for absolutely ANY age and ANY instrument. Taught in themed rooms, with a live room available for practice and performances, SAM is an exciting place to learn and develop your talent, whether you are a beginner or already skilled in your instrument.
SAM also offers music tuition in schools across the county, providing both classical and contemporary instrument tuition with a classical and theoretical backbone, with grade examinations available in all instruments.
SAM provides some fantastic workshops in vocal coaching, body percussion and our incredibly popular rock school. Our professional recording studios are run by skilled technicians and available throughout the week at competitive prices, using top of the range digital equipment.

Riverside Recording studio offers full professional recording facilities, which consists of a state-of-the-art 40 channel Roland digital mixing desk, high performance microphones and a top-of-the-range computer, running Sonar recording, mixing and mastering software. With over £30k worth of equipment, Riverside Recording studio can capture anything from a solo artist, to a full band or musical ensemble live or multi-tracked. Depending on your budget, Riverside Recording studio can achieve an array of different productions. From basic band demos, to full post production which includes Audio Quantizing, Pitch Correction, Mastering along with producing/arranging backing beats for solo artists. The engineers behind the desk host many years of experience within the field and BA(HONS) degrees in music technology and production.
Attract clients to product launches, bring something different to a wedding or festival fringe event, entertain customers…. stand out from the crowd by having Harrie’s on hand for duration of your event. WSCC, CDC and a family in Climping already have!
Hire Harrie’s - Harrie’s has 2 trailers for use at events from 50 to over 20,000! People expect quality coffee when they are out and about and Harrie’s brings the coffee shop to them. Harrie’s can operate as part of the catering mix at large and small events.
Coffee from a small women’s collective in Columbia; Tea produced under the Ethical Tea Partnership and Fairtrade banners and delicious Fairtrade Hot Chocolate from Domincan Repulic make up the majority of the hot drinks menu. There are also a few added extras if you don’t fancy the traditional coffee shop fayre.....
